A: The general brass flange can withstand a temperature of less than 150 C. Long-term high temperature (such as steam heating) may lead to deformation or seal failure. It is recommended to use stainless steel or strengthen the structural design.

A: The oxidation of brass will produce green copper rust (basic copper carbonate). The slight corrosion can be wiped with citric acid or special copper cleaner; the serious corrosion needs to be replaced with stainless steel flange.
