The sic heating elements start to being oxidized when heated to 800C in air;and Si02 protection film will be generated in surface of hot zone when temperature get to 1000-1300C;Cristobalite crystalized at 1300℃,at 1500℃ the protection film reaches a certain thickness which make the oxidation speed being most slowly and tends to be stable.If continuely heat to over 1627℃,the protection film will be damaged and oxidation speed will be more rapid evidently and make the sic heating elements damaged earlier.

Notices:
1. Before installation of SiC heater, we should check the resistance marked on the cold ends. resistance difference of each group is ± 0.1
2. When SiC heaters are through the holes on furnace wall on either side (or up and down), we should rotate them 360 degrees. Do not mandatory installation with the beat.
3. Silicon Carbide heating elements must be equipped with regulating transformers or thyristor voltage regulator and voltage, ampere meter, and automatic temperature control instrument. Due to oxidation, resistance increases gradually, in order to maintain normal temperature we should increase voltages. When voltages reach the maximum of transformer,we can change the connection mode of SiC heaters and then continue to use.
