Characteristics of hot runner system
I. Advantages of hot runner System:
1. Save plastic raw materials: there is no cold runner in the pure hot runner mold, so there is no production waste. This is particularly significant for applications where plastics are expensive. In fact, the major international hot runner manufacturers in the world oil and plastic raw materials are expensive in the era of rapid development. Because hot runner technology is an effective way to reduce material cost and material cost.
II. Characteristics of hot runner System:
(1) Plasticization: namely glass state, high elastic state (rubber state), viscous flow state (plasticizing state), decomposition state.
Glass state: 0 ~ T1, the molecules in the frozen state, hard and brittle, in case of pressure is easy to fracture.
Viscous flow (plasticized state) : T2 ~ T3, can be machined at will.
Decomposition state: T3, plastic began to crack, gas decomposition, and even reached the burning state.
(2) Forming conditions: The workpiece is finished after the hot runner mold is formed, and there is no need to trim the gate and recycle the cold runner and other procedures. Conducive to production automation. Many foreign manufacturers combine hot runner with automation to greatly improve production efficiency.
Molding cycle: because there is no limit on cooling time of the runner system, the parts can be ejected in time after forming and curing. Many thin-walled parts produced with hot runner molds take less than 5 seconds to form.
