Types and advantages of cartridge heater

The cartridge heater is widely used in plastic machinery heating systems, pharmaceutical production lines, and chemical equipment. Some cartridge heater are different in different industries, so how to choose the right one? Is the cartridge heater used in its equipment?

1. Common types of single-head electric heating tube products

(I) cartridge heater can be specifically divided into:

1. Miniature mold heating tube: diameter Φ2.2 ~ Φ5.9㎜.

2. Standard mold heating tube: diameter Φ6 ~ Φ25㎜.

3. Large mold heating tube: diameter Φ25 ~ Φ100㎜.

4. cartridge heater: This product is the most effective as a heating element in molds under special environment. Some tapered mold holes are used. And other equipment vendors.

5. cartridge heater: Use the hollow tube of cartridge heater to quickly heat the air.

6, cartridge heater, square mold heating tube these two products are the most effective as a heating element in the mold under special circumstances, some tapered mold holes are used.

7. Two semi-circular mold heating tubes: Two semi-circular mold heating tubes are improved products of ordinary single-end mold electric heating elements. It is formed by folding a semi-circular electric heating element in half. The mold holes are closely matched, which has the advantages of large power density, long service life, and high heat efficiency. It is a replacement product of the single-end heating element of the mold, especially for the mold that requires high temperature and fast heating.

(2) According to the exit standards, it can be specifically divided into:

1. Soft lead cartridge heater: stainless steel soft wire is led out from the inside of the heating tube, and a glass fiber sleeve is put on the outside. This process has low cost and is not easy to disconnect.

2. External connection cartridge heater: The stainless steel hard wire is led out from the inside of the heating tube by the lead-out rod, and then connected to the high-temperature line outside the high-temperature line. This process is a standard process, and domestic single-headed tubes are all this way of extraction, low cost, and widely used.

3. Inner lead cartridge heater: The high-temperature wire is directly drawn from the inside of the heating tube. This process is costly, but it is not easy to disconnect.

(3) According to the power cartridge heater can be specifically divided into:

1. Low power density.

2. High power cartridge heater.

3. Medium power cartridge heater.

4. Ultra-high power cartridge heater.

Second, the advantages of cartridge heater

1. Electrical characteristics: Filled with 99.5% pure high-temperature insulating magnesia powder as a filler material, which has better insulation and voltage resistance performance through the reduction process.

2. Ruggedness: The stainless steel material is used to make the sheath of the heating tube, and the machine will not be damaged by vibration and impact, and it is fixed by fasteners, which is safe and secure.

3. Convenient wiring; the cable structure at one end can be wired in a limited space, and multiple electric heating pipes are used at the same time, and the performance will not interfere with each other.

4, good efficiency; small size, high power, high energy, can increase sufficient heat in a short time

5. Long life (referred to imported materials); the production process of nickel-chromium alloy wire, high temperature resistant insulation material, and structure outer winding wire is several times longer than that of traditional electric heating pipe products.

6. Types of specifications; product specifications and types are non-standard customized, flexible specifications

Third, matters needing attention

(1) The cartridge heater is actually an air dry-burning electric heating tube. Because air has a hindering effect on heat conduction, the gap between its outer diameter and its insertion aperture does not exceed 0.1mm, such as heating with a pipe diameter of 10 The rod should be a pore diameter within 10.1.

(2) The scartridge heater should be cleaned of residues left in the processing before installation, such as organic oil and other residues. After heating, it will be carbonized, which affects the ability of heat conduction.

(3) The coaxiality and size tolerances of the mounting holes should be effectively guaranteed during processing. For example, tools such as reamers should be used to trim the processing during processing.
