(1) Tube type
Common heat exchange tubes are smooth tubes and finned tubes.
(2) Manager
The choice of the manager is limited by two factors, one is the cost of materials, and the other is the availability. When there is no phase change heat, the longer the tube, the higher the heat transfer coefficient. For the same heat transfer area, it is better to use a long tube. One is to reduce the number of tube passes, the other is to reduce the pressure drop, and the third is per square meter. The price of heat transfer surface is low. However, the excessive length of the tube makes manufacturing difficult, and also increases the extraction space of the tube bundle. Therefore, the length of the heat exchange tube is generally controlled within 9m.
(3) Pipe diameter and wall thickness
The smaller the pipe diameter, the more compact and cheaper the heat exchanger. However, the smaller the pipe diameter, the pressure drop of the heat exchanger will increase. In order to meet the allowable pressure drop, it is generally recommended to choose a 19mm tube. For materials that are prone to scaling, in order to facilitate cleaning, a tube with an outer diameter of 25 mm is used. For the process stream with gas-liquid two-phase flow, a larger pipe diameter is generally selected, such as a reboiler and a boiler, and a pipe diameter of 32 mm is generally used.
(4) Heat exchange tube arrangement
Regular triangle arrangement: high connection degree, more tubes can be arranged on the same tube sheet area, good shell-side fluid disturbance, high heat transfer / pressure drop performance ratio, so it is widely used, but the shell-side is not convenient for machinery Clean.
Square arrangement: small flow pressure drop, easy to mechanical cleaning.
Corner triangle arrangement: the performance is between regular triangle and square arrangement.
